Film Wedding Photographer
Iâm based in the UK but I grew up in Italy and Iâm bilingual. Iâm a documentary wedding photographer, or you could call me an unobtrusive observer.
Shooting mainly on 35mm and 120 analogue film, my work aspires to be timeless and true-to-colour. My go-to film stocks are Kodak, Cinestill and Ilford - I use a variety of different formats, film speeds and emulsions to achieve the desired look.
My priority is to focus on documenting the day through observation and capturing details and moments as they unfold naturally, with little interference and no staged photos. I think portraiture is an important part of the documentation but I like to keep things simple and provide only gentle guidance when needed.
My clients are typically laid back, love to travel and many of them are of mixed heritage and nationalities or they live or have lived abroad. They often have an interest in the arts or are creatives themselves, perhaps professionally or just snapping away with a film camera during their travels.

"Sarah is an absolute dream to work with. As a lover of analogue photography ourselves, my partner and I knew we wanted to work with someone who could capture us with intention and authenticity. Sarah was the perfect match for us. We fell in love with her documentary style photography, prioritizing unscripted moments to tell a unique story. Her talent to focus on emotions over perfection knows no bounds. I particularly appreciate her attention to the 'in-between moments', which allowed her to capture all the feels of one of the most incredible days of our lives. We got married in Japan, a country that is very dear to us and Sarah managed to show that appreciation through the pictures. We loved connecting with her in the lead-up to the wedding, sharing our fondness of cats and all things Japan. Post-wedding, I got a bit insecure as the day went by so quickly and we had asked our guests not to take any pictures, so I had to rely solely on my memories - which is a true test of patience! Sarah was able to re-assure me and even shared a couple of scans during an extremely busy time for her, just to ease my mind. This attentive action really cemented our impression of her: she is a true gem and we cannot recommend her enough to future couples."

"Sarah was incredible since the moment we met her, after our original photographer had to step out (due to have a baby đ) We were so grateful and fortunate that Sarah miraculously had our date available after only having a few days left free in 2026. - I think it was meant to be. My husband and I fell in love with Sarahâs work, we couldnât stop scrolling through her photos. We adored the way she captures raw and real moments on film. Sarah is so kind, chill, and creative throughout the process. She invites you to collaborative with her, collating images to create a dreamy vision of photos of how you imagine your day to be captured. On the day, Sarah blends into the background! She is a master at work. If youâre like us and you struggle with the thought of a camera in your face, then Sarah is brilliant for you! She still somehow manages to capture the most amazing shots of you and you donât even notice. We ended up feeling so comfortable in her presence, that we didnât mind getting more styled shots! We had so much fun with her on our wedding day. Lastly the photos were absolutely STUNNING. They are the coolest photos that we had ever seen, and we couldnât believe that they were of us, our beautiful families and friends. This time we were scrolling through our photos, and we just couldnât believe how gorgeous they were. Sarah captured the entire day as if it were a movie. She is an absolute artist, and a master at her craft. Phenomenal. I honestly wish we could do it all again, as we had so much fun. Thank you Sarah for being so wonderful. We cannot wait to print our photos and to flick through the album for years and years to come! If it isnât clear already from our review, we HIGHLY recommend Sarah 𩵠So much love and gratitude to you Sarah, thank you so so much xxx"

"My husband and I went through our gallery absolutely bursting with joy. We genuinely kept looking at each other saying, âHOW ON EARTH DID SHE CAPTURE ALL OF THESE MOMENTS?!â The photos feel like a real-life teleporter back to the day. Every tiny look, every laugh, every person we love, all of the chaos, emotion, and little in-between moments... somehow she caught it all. Sarah has an unbelievable amount of talent and creativity, but what makes her work so special is how much personality and feeling she captures. Our photos feel completely like us. Nothing feels forced or overly posed, and yet every image is so beautiful and thoughtful. Beyond the photos themselves, Sarah is such a wonderful person to have with you on such an important day. She made us feel comfortable, understood us immediately, and somehow managed to be everywhere without ever feeling intrusive. We truly donât have the words to thank her enough. These photos are something we will treasure for the rest of our lives, and choosing Sarah was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. We could not recommend her more. If you are going to spend any amount of money on ANYTHING for your wedding, let it be photography and let it be Sarah."

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes â I photograph weddings across the UK, Europe and worldwide. My pricing for destination weddings is all-inclusive, which means travel, accommodation and film costs are already factored into the fee. You wonât need to arrange flights or hotels â everything is handled for you. My pricing is divided by region (UK, Europe and overseas) for clarity and transparency.
-
Absolutely. I offer overseas wedding coverage beyond Europe, including long-haul destinations such as Bali, Thailand, Mexico and the Caribbean. Because my pricing is all-inclusive, there are no additional logistical arrangements required from you. Film works beautifully in tropical environments, capturing coastal light, colour and texture with an elegant, editorial feel.
-
My rates already include travel, accommodation and all film stock, so you donât need to worry about organising logistics. Whether your wedding is in the UK, Europe or further afield, the price is based on the region rather than individual travel expenses. This makes planning simpler and ensures you know your investment from the outset.
-
Yes. While most couples choose full-day coverage, I also offer custom packages for intimate celebrations, elopements or shorter events. This allows you to tailor hours around smaller guest lists, cultural ceremonies or destination timelines.
-
Yes â I work with both 35mm and medium format film, supported by digital where appropriate. All images are delivered in a single online gallery in high resolution, ready for viewing, sharing and printing. This includes professional film scans from the lab.
-
Yes. Film performs beautifully in low-light environments when handled with intention. I choose the appropriate film stock and sensitivity for each setting, and pair it with camera settings that allow me to work with the available light â whether thatâs candlelight, soft artificial lighting, or ambient indoor light. Itâs not always necessary to overpower the scene with flash, Iâm able to use the existing light artistically to preserve atmosphere and mood, resulting in images that feel natural and intimate.
-
Film renders light and colour with softness and depth, avoiding harsh highlights and preserving natural skin tones. In bright or coastal destinations, film handles direct sunlight and reflective surfaces with elegance. The result is a refined, timeless aesthetic suited to modern, design-led and destination weddings.
-
Yes. After the wedding, you will receive your film negatives along with six 20x30cm fine-art prints. These are included in every wedding collection as a tangible keepsake, in addition to the digital gallery.
-
Yes â these can be added to any collection. Popular additions include a second photographer for larger weddings, welcome event coverage for destination weekends, and coffee-table style photo books.
-
Yes. I take on a limited number of weddings annually ( 10-15) to ensure attentive service and allow for travel and film processing. This helps maintain a calm, considered approach and guarantees each couple receives the time and focus they deserve.
-
After your initial enquiry, we will arrange a consultation to discuss your plans and location. Once the contract is signed and the deposit is received, your date is secured. Because travel and accommodation are included, planning is straightforward â we simply confirm the schedule and any add-ons, and remain in touch up to the wedding day. After the celebration, film is developed, scanned and delivered digitally, followed by negatives and prints.
